  • I have lived in Florida for almost 20 years and sadly never joined a synagogue. I heard that only 20% of the Jewish community belong to a Temple. I belonged to the remaining 80 %

I visited Temple Sinai a few years ago when severe illnesses and tragedy was happening in my family. We felt lost as a family and I drove pass Temple Sinai with my mother, not knowing this Temple existed and we parked the car and went in. There was a service taking place and we were greeted by a very warm person and was invited to sit in. My mother and I were really in a place of depression and despair and being welcomed into a house of worship that evening uplifted our worries for a few hours and filled out hearts with the love and light of G-D!

Several years went by and Temple Sinai always remained as a beacon for us during that very awful time for our family. We knew that we would make this our spiritual home as soon as we could. That moment happened last week and we have now joined and officially connected with this loving new family!

We attended last nights Yom Kippur services and we were so impressed with the beautiful service. We did not expect such a heartwarming and breathtaking service. I looked over to my mother and she had tears of joy running down her dace. She smiled at me and said that she was so happy!!!!

The evening was filled with beautiful prayer sung from their amazing choir, melodic music from their violinist and led by cantorial soloist Margaret Schmitt who sings like an angel!

The Chapel is absolutely beautiful with a gorgeous ark holding its amazing TORAH'S.!
Beautifully crafted Mosaic Stained glass with its SHIN representation , Menorah and the 12 tribes of Israel really is something to witness and marvel at.

Rabbi Kanter's sermon and message of Hope and Peace and the dire need to support the Temple and to preserve Judaism for generations to come really struck a chord in me. Did you know that the Jewish population makes up less than 1% of the WORLD population.? I never knew this. This is frightening!!!! It is so vital to support our culture especially during today/s volatile times with anti semitism showing its ugly face again and barbarism on the rise again towards the Jewish people Please join Temple Sinai in numbers we are STRONG.......NEVER AGAIN must not be AGAIN and AGAIN.

  • I have found Temple Sinai to be welcoming and supportive of its members, well beyond the norm. When my father passed away, even though I was a new member, many other Temple members came to my home for shiva and the congregation was very supportive in other ways. Rabbi Aviva Bass is the real deal; unassuming, learned and engaging. I feel very "at home" at Temple Sinai.
